I am a web developer and Linux server administrator. I have also been known to write desktop and mobile applications from time to time. I write most of my code in web technologies like PHP, Go, Python, and javascript (NodeJS, Angular, jQuery).
I have a niche skill set around internet marketing. A few of my favorite internet marketing projects I've worked on include: a click and conversion tracking platform, self optimizing e-mail marketing platform, ad server, and a click/conversion fraud detection suite. However, my favorite project I've worked on was a real time artificial intelligent remnant traffic monitizer that was used by some of the biggest names in affiliate networks.
Programming is not only a career for me but a hobby. I often look for problems in my surrounding world that can be solved with just a little code. For example, in college I built/wrote a voice controlled home automation system. It used raspberry pi Bs (the first generation) in each room of the house that relayed voice commands to the central server that turned it into an executable command and ran it. I could go on and on about the project.
I have also written an MTA (Mail Transfer Agent) in Go. It was intended for large IP pool management and mass email sending (something that SendGrid or Mandrill could use on their backend). I learned a lot about the SMTP protocol and e-mail delivery in general.
I recently built a back proxy that would allow me to connect to my machines that are behind 1 or more router(s) that are using NAT. I used it mainly for web browsing from my home IP or connecting to my servers in the cloud (I try to keep the management ports only open to specified IPs).
